Your data

Your data belongs to you.

Cadence stores what you give it so it can do its job. Here is exactly what that is, and how to take it all with you or delete it entirely, whenever you want.

What Cadence stores

Three things, plainly stated.

Cadence stores only what it needs to be useful to you. Nothing more.

Your logs

Everything you type or tap into Cadence: how you feel each day, your readings, meals, and any notes you add.

Readings and measurements

Blood glucose, blood pressure, weight, or any other numbers you record. Stored so trends are accurate over time.

Your profile

Your name, email address, and any condition information you choose to add to help Cadence personalise its support.

Cadence also stores a secure hash of your password for authentication, and basic session information to keep you signed in. It does not store your password in readable form. It does not store payment card numbers (those are held by our payment processor).

Export your data

You can download a complete copy of everything Cadence holds about you at any time. The export is a plain JSON file that includes all your logs, readings, profile information, and account details. No special software needed to read it.

Find it in Settings / Your data / Export inside the app.

Delete your account

Deleting your account permanently removes all your logs, readings, and profile from Cadence's systems. This is not a soft delete or an archive. Your data is gone.

Deletion typically completes within 30 days as it propagates through backups. We keep records that the law requires us to keep, such as billing records, but not your health data.

Find it in Settings / Your data / Delete account inside the app.

Access

Who can see your data.

Your data is visible to you and to the parts of Cadence's software that need it to do a specific job, such as generating a visit summary. Cadence employees can access account data only when needed to support you, and only with appropriate controls in place.

If you share a visit summary with your clinician, Cadence sends only what you choose to share, and only to the recipient you specify.

What we never do

We never sell your data.

Cadence does not sell your personal information or your health data to any third party, including data brokers, advertisers, or research organisations. Your health data is not used to profile you for advertising.

When Cadence uses an AI model to generate something for you, your data is processed under a data agreement that prohibits the provider from using it to train public models. Read more on our Security page.
