Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Cadence Inc. ("Cadence", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our website and app.
The short version: we use only the cookies we need to make Cadence work securely. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not share cookies with ad networks or data brokers.
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for Cadence to function. Without them, you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or use the app securely. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without stopping use of Cadence.
- Authentication session: a secure, HttpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in during your session. It expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
- CSRF protection: a cookie used to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks. It is created alongside your session and deleted with it.
- Preference storage: we use local storage (not a cookie) to remember light interface preferences, such as whether you have dismissed a notification. This does not identify you and is stored only on your device.
No advertising or tracking cookies
Cadence does not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not place tracking pixels or beacons. We do not participate in cookie-based advertising networks. We do not share cookies with data brokers.
We do not use analytics cookies that track you across other websites. Any usage analytics we collect are aggregated, anonymised, and processed internally.
Third-party cookies
Some functionality on Cadence may involve third-party services that set their own cookies. These are limited to:
- Payment processing: if you visit a checkout page, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies needed to process the transaction securely. Stripe's own privacy policy governs those cookies.
We do not embed social media share buttons, ad networks, or other third-party widgets that would set cookies without your awareness.
How to control cookies
You can control cookies using your browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Here is how to reach those settings in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings / Privacy and security / Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Settings / Safari / Advanced / Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings / Privacy and Security / Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings / Cookies and site permissions / Cookies and site data.
If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to Cadence. Other than that, blocking cookies has no effect on your ability to read public pages of our site.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if our cookie practices change. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date.
